2026 filing deadlines

Mark these on your calendar. We'll remind clients well in advance.

January 31
W-2 & 1099 deadline
Employers must furnish W-2s to employees and 1099-NECs to contractors.
March 15
S-Corp & partnership returns
Forms 1120-S and 1065 due. Extensions available via Form 7004.
April 15
Individual & C-Corp returns
Form 1040 and 1120 due. Q1 estimated taxes also due. IRA contributions for prior year.
June 16
Q2 estimated taxes
Second-quarter estimated tax payment for individuals and businesses.
September 15
Extended S-Corp/partnership; Q3 estimates
Extended 1120-S and 1065 returns due. Q3 estimated payments due.
October 15
Extended individual returns
Form 1040 with extension due. Last chance to file without late penalties.
January 15, 2027
Q4 estimated taxes
Final estimated tax payment for the 2026 tax year.
Quarterly
Sales tax & Form 941
Payroll tax deposits and state sales tax filings due quarterly.
Texas franchise tax
May 15
Texas franchise tax report and Public Information Report due annually.

  • 1099-INT, 1099-DIV (interest, dividends)

  • 1099-R (retirement distributions)

  • K-1s from partnerships, S-Corps, trusts
